The Leap of Faith

By Christian Life Coaching

We know that having faith means having the capacity to see what others are not able to see and to say what others are not able to say.  It really is being “sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”

When Abraham was told that he would be the father of many nations, I am sure it seemed like an incredible promise of impossible proportions! How could it be? Yet, despite all, Abraham dared to believe and today, believers all over the world are a direct fulfillment of that promise. “As it is written- “I have made you a father of many nations.”  Abraham is our father in the sight of God, (because he believed)—“the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that are not as though they were.”  Romans 4:17

We are reminded, once again, by the Apostle Paul, that the God we serve is the one who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that are not.  Only God can do that and only God can speak to the deadness of our hearts and say live, feel again, heal and be restored.  Only God can raise us up and give us the courage to do things that we may have believed were impossible.  With God, the impossible becomes possible.

So, what about you?  Will you take the leap of faith? Will you join in the ranks of the faithful who have gone before us and like Abraham dare to believe? Will you dare to believe that God is who He says He is and that He is capable of doing what He says He will do and most importantly, YOU are who He says you are?
