You Were Meant For The Fight
By victorious living Christian Life CoachingOften we are tempted to take the shortcut or the path of least resistance on the road to success. However, life often faces us with challenges and asks the questions… “Are you going to hang in there?” “Are you going to persevere despite your obstacles and challenges to achieve your goal or objective?”
The defining difference between success lives and dies with the answer to some of these questions. Picture yourself in a boxing ring and your life’s challenges and obstacles are your opponent. You can either let those challenges and obstacles get the best of you or you can find a way to move past them or conquer them. Are you going to fight or retreat and quit?
For what it’s worth, and from my experience, it is when you make a decision to do something or accomplish a goal that the fight begins. Ever notice that? All of a sudden challenges and obstacles seems to appear out of nowhere. Something breaks down, you get sick, etc. You experience delays, distractions, or even setbacks and disappointments. I am sure you have been there and know exactly what I am talking about.
Sometimes we think that the delays and setbacks are a sign from God that we should quit. Maybe it wasn’t meant to be. Maybe not, but here is the other side of it. What if it is meant to test our resolve and our determination? Which way are you going to go? Are you going to quit? Are you going to throw in the towel and take the path of least resistance? Are you going to give up and wait until another time when life settles down a bit? What will your answer be? You and I are the only ones that can answer those questions.
Change isn’t easy. Being successful at something isn’t easy. It takes hard work. It takes hanging in there despite the obstacles and challenges. It takes perseverance! The winners in life find ways to either move the obstacle out of the way, climb over them, or carry them; but they don’t quit.
Here is what I believe. I believe you are stronger than you realize. I personally believe you are up for the challenge and meant for the fight. I believe the dream or goal was given to you for a reason. The dream or the goal is your baby. It is yours to nurture, care for, develop, and see it through. You may be on revision 999. Guess what? You are in good company. It took Edison more than 1,000 tries to invent the light bulb.
Fight for your dream my friend. Put on your blinders, keep on keeping on. There is a prize at the end with your name on it!
