What Do You Want?
By Personal Growth Magazine Christian Life CoachingHave you ever thought about the fact that what you think about and focus on not only captures your imagination but drives you to action? People that focus on success usually find a way to get there. If you want something bad enough, you will find ways to go after it or make it happen. You are motivated… plain and simple.
Have you ever gone into a store and seen something you really liked and you left it there? However, you keep thinking about it. You can’t get it off your mind. You start focusing on it and you start scheming how you could get it or something like it at a better rate. You work on and eventually you find a way to make it happen. What we focus on in life is fairly important because it shapes our focus, our desires, and ultimately shows up in our behavior.
Could the reason be why we don’t accomplish or achieve more is because we don’t desire it or want it that much? Think about it. When you are motivated to do something you really want to do, you usually make or find the time to do it.
My husband, Daryl, just published a magazine called Personal Growth Magazine and had a vision for the magazine before it ever came into being. It was the focus of his thoughts and desires which gave him the motivation to go into action. In fact, an excerpt from his latest edition makes my point… “You only really see what you expect to see or what you focus on. It’s the reason why you buy a red car and suddenly red cars seem to be everywhere. They were always there, but you now notice them. Opportunity is out there for those who expect it.” When you are looking for opportunity, you tend to find it. Likewise the opposite it true. If you look to fail or you focus on your shortcomings, most likely you will get more of the same.
Let 2020 be the year that you shift your focus and more importantly begin to focus on what you really want out of life! For more information about Personal Growth Magazine, go to… PersonalGrowthMagazine.com
