It’s easy in life to get distracted and off course. The problem comes when we get way off course. Course adjustment can be difficult and often come at a great price. Also, it’s not always so easy to pick up where we left off. These are lessons I wished I had learned earlier in life!
The writer of Proverbs has some good advice – “guard your heart, let your eyes look straight ahead and make level paths for your feet.”
What are you doing to stay focused and to guard your heart? Who is helping you stay the course and holding you accountable? What about the things you are currently doing? Are they moving you ahead or are they distractions?
Make this a year of intention. Think about ways you can guard your heart, look ahead and make your paths firm!
