Confident You

By Christian Life Coaching

What would you do if you were your most confident YOU? I like to ask that question because I think it is important to do some vision-casting for your life. Sometimes we are just too focused on what we don’t like, on our situation, on our life, and even on what we don’t like about ourselves.

Let’s have some fun… Just imagine yourself as a confident, secure person. How would you carry yourself throughout the day? How would you interact with others? What would you be wearing? What would you be thinking? Do you have a visual image? If so, hang onto it. That is a good place to start and, believe it or not, successful people do this all the time. They are visualizers and can see their most successful self. They talk to themselves about it and even try to duplicate it in their demeanor, appearance, actions, etc.

Maybe you have heard the expression… “Fake it until you make it.” The truth is you don’t have to be a fake. You just need to believe in yourself. You are wiser, smarter, and more talented than you give yourself credit for. God has gifted you for success in your sphere and to make a difference in this life.

In many cases, inability is not so much the issue as is a lack of confidence. On a daily basis, let me encourage you to be aware of the negative scripts playing inside your head. Stop them in their tracks. Better yet, hit the delete button. Often, we are waiting for our golden opportunity or for good luck to find us. What we don’t realize is that opportunities are waiting for us. It has to start with us. It really does.

Make a decision to put on your most confident self. Look yourself in the mirror and cheer yourself on. You can do it. You are going to make it. You are beautiful, loved by God, fearfully and wonderfully made. Time to put a stake in the ground and say… “enough”! Be your best friend and cheerleader. Put on confidence every day. I can promise you when it do it will change you and the way you think. More importantly, other people begin to take notice too!
